Themes
Customize the look and feel of your Suites with themes.
Themes
Every Suite in FormWise automatically inherits the brand theme of the organization it belongs to. This means when you set a theme for your organization, all of your Suites - and the Flows inside them - will match that look and feel without any extra configuration.
How Theme Inheritance Works
Your organization's brand theme is made of:
- The theme (a preset or one of your own saved themes)
- The mode (light or dark)
You don't need to set themes on individual Suites - they always follow your organization's theme. A Flow uses the organization theme too, unless you pick a different theme for it in the Flow editor (see below).
The brand theme only applies to what you publish for your users. The builder itself keeps its own look, and its light/dark switch in Settings is separate from your brand theme.
Changing Your Organization Theme
To change the theme that applies to your Suites:
- Open Brand in the sidebar
- Under Appearance, choose Light or Dark
- Pick a preset under Presets, or one of Your themes
- Your choice saves right away, and the preview on the page updates as you click
Only workspace admins can change the brand. Your new theme will apply across all your Suites and published Flows.
Building your own theme
Under Your themes, click New to build a custom theme. You can start from a brand color, from your logo, or from a curated palette, then fine-tune the palette colors and choose how rounded corners should be. You can save up to 20 custom themes.
Available Theme Presets
FormWise includes 24 built-in theme presets to choose from:

Each preset comes with both a light and dark mode variant, so you get two looks from every preset.
Choosing a Theme for an Individual Flow
While Suites inherit the organization theme, you can give an individual Flow its own theme:
- Open a Flow from the Flows page
- In the editor sidebar, find the Appearance section
- Open the Theme menu and pick one of your saved themes or a preset
- Use the Mode switch to choose light or dark
A Flow's own theme only applies when the Flow is opened on its own link. Inside a Suite, every Flow uses your organization theme so the Suite looks consistent. Flow-level themes never change your organization theme or other Flows.
What Gets Themed
Themes control the entire visual appearance of your Flows and Suites, including:
- Backgrounds - Page and card backgrounds
- Text colors - Primary, secondary, and muted text
- Buttons and links - Primary and accent colors
- Borders and inputs - Form field styling
- Charts - Up to 5 chart colors for data visualizations
- Sidebar - Navigation panel colors
- Typography - Font families and letter spacing
- Border radius - How rounded corners appear
- Shadows - Depth and elevation effects
Tips
- Start with a preset - Browse the presets to find one close to your brand, or build your own theme from your brand color or logo.
- Match your brand - Choose a preset that aligns with your organization's colors so your Suites feel like part of your product.
- Preview both modes - Check how your theme looks in both light and dark mode before committing.
- Keep it consistent - Since Suites inherit the org theme, your users get a consistent experience across all your Flows.
